3 tips for keeping your car clean and organized

Anyone else feel like aside from your home and office, your car is one of the places you spend most of your time? If you have a lengthy drive to work, I’m sure you will agree. When you spend so much time in your car, it’s easy for a freshly cleaned car to get messy VERY quickly. Well  here are 3 quick tips for keeping your car clean and organized using products that you probably already own!

  1. Contain your trash! Try this tip from Better Homes and Gardens - use a plastic cereal container as a mini-trash can or recyling container. This will keep trash contained while you’re on the go and then you can dump it out whenever it gets full.

  2. Organize your glove box. Realsimple.com suggests using a small accordian folder to organize loose papers in your glove box like maps, your car registration, etc.

  3. Free up trunk space! Try using a storage bin or tote in your trunk to hold any items you have back there (clothing, beach stuff, sporting goods, etc)… this not only frees up trunk space but it also keeps everything from moving around back there while you’re driving. If you don’t have a storage bin or tote that would work, you could purchase an actual trunk organizer. (marthastewart.com)
