Many years ago the Hag ergonomic chair was going to revolutionize office seating. It was odd looking with no back, a seat, and knee rest, and promoted correct posture with your weight equally dispersed through the knees and seat. I remember it being comfortable and did promote good posture but it never caught on widely. There were the usual early adapters as with every innovation, but you couldn’t fall into it easily, and it generally did not appeal to the masses.
The Zenergy chair is another seating innovation by Safco. It is pretty simple, consisting of an exercise ball covered in mesh (doesn’t everyone want mesh today), and four legs for stability. According to Safco “it will enlighten any environment with its fun and spunky attitude”, and I have to agree that it gives off a fun vibe. We had one in our office and it is comfortable and does promote good posture and balance. We will definitely bring one or two in for a longer look and see if we can obtain harmony with our surroundings. How about you? Could you see this in your office?
