We’ve all been there. You’re at work and you experience a wardrobe malfunction – a run in your pantyhose or maybe the hem on bottom of your pants came undone. One time I had the side of my heel actually crack open, so I couldn’t even walk in the shoe anymore. So what do you do when you’re at the office and you don’t have time to run to the store or run home to solve your wardrobe malfunction? You get creative! And if you’re in the office, you are surely surrounded by office supplies… and they can save the day! With my cracked shoe, I actually resorted to stapling it together just to get me through the rest of the day… it wasn’t the prettiest thing to look at, but it worked! Check out 5 more wardrobe malfunctions that office supplies can solve that I came across on the Yahoo! style blog:
- Wardrobe malfunction – scuffed shoes
If you find ugly scuff marks all over your favorite shoes and you can’t stand to look at them anymore, just grab a Sharpie! Choose a Sharpie of a similar color (most likely black or brown) and color in the scuff marks. I’ve done this before and it totally works!
- Wardrobe malfunction – bad hair day
Do you ever notice how your appearance changes significantly as the workday progresses? Especially when it comes to your hair? If you need to tame those tresses, look to paperclips for help! You can use them as bobby pins to pin back your hair.
- Wardrobe malfunction – exposed stiletto
I have had this happen to me MANY times. You wear your heels so much that the rubber covering is no longer there to cover the base of the heel itself. This results in you making an annoying clicking sound when you walk, and it could even be dangerous and cause you to slip. For a temporary fix, you can just glue a piece of eraser to the exposed metal.
- Wardrobe malfunction – undone hem
I’ve also had this one happen to me before. You look down at your pants and notice that one leg is longer than the other. Not your actual leg, your pant leg. If you find that the hem has come undone in one of your pant legs, just reach for your stapler as a quick fix. Just fold the pant leg to your desired length and staple the hem… just make sure to be careful when you’re removing the staples later!
- Wardrobe malfunction – a stuck zipper
This is a neat trick that I’ve never heard of before. If your zipper gets stuck, you can rely on a pencil to help you out! Just color the zipper with a wooden pencil – that will help lubricate the track so you can slide the zipper up or down.
